This is a nice app, if you know what you are getting. The stickystudy system is different from Anki. The developer is using a variation on SRS that may be good for some people, but it was not what I was expecting. To me an SRS system uses its settings to space out a cards reoccurrence so that the card appears just before you might forget it. Once you answer it, that card is more firmly set in your memory. SRS systems, in my view, only work over a long period of time (months and years). The system should allow you to enter new cards as you learn them, and then space those new cards out, just like the ones you have previously entered. This is the SuperMemo algorithm, and the one used by Anki. What I have described is NOT what stickystudy uses. Stickystudy asks you "what date would you like to memorize these cards by", and then determines when to show you the cards. Basically, it ignores the "SRS settings" in the options screen -- why does stickystudy even have that screen? And when you add new cards, it still assumes you want to learn the entire deck by your previous due-date. Its rather silly and simplistic, and not what I was expecting. So, to sum up -- this is not an SRS system like SuperMemo or Anki, it is something else. If you like the stickstudy due-date style, then great -- you will be pleased with your purchase. For me, this was not what I was looking for and i will have to pay the Anki price. Too bad, because stickstudy is a very slick and polished app, but it is just not an Anki or SuperMemo style SRS.
